Exceptional Talent with Exceptional Constraints

South Africa is a country with an abundance of talented youth. However, at times this talent struggles to find full expression and support. Thus, the Sifiso Falala Foundation has launched the Exceptional Talent with Exceptional Constraints (ETEC) programme to assist South Africa's youth in sourcing emotional, motivational and financial support.

The ETEC programme will focus on young South Africans between the ages of 13-18 who have demonstrated exceptional and rare talent in academics, sports, the arts and community initiatives. Preference will be given to young people who possess rare talent (i.e. which is exceptional and not commonly found).

The young people chosen for participation in the ETEC will need to show how their personal circumstances have in the past or are currently limiting the advancement of their specific talent. Overall, it is envisioned that the ETEC will benefit young people whose talents have already or have the potential to benefit the communities in which they live and add value to the wider South African society.
